Volunteers Needed!

Are you looking to get more involved in the Fredericksburg community?  Are you interested in population health?  Do you enjoy interacting with your neighbors?  We need volunteers like you to assist with the Fredericksburg Community Health Assessment Team's data collection in June!  Volunteers will work with Community Health Assessment Team members to canvass Fredericksburg neighborhoods in an effort to collect survey answers related to health and wellness in our community.  Surveying will take place in the evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights starting on June 5th.  Any time you have to give is appreciated during this large, staff intensive effort.  Contact Katelynn.Dailey@vdh.virginia.gov for information and to find out how to get involved.

Calling All Fredericksburg Residents!

Do you love where you live?  Do you want to contribute to improving health and wellness in your community?  Well, here is your chance!  The Fredericksburg City Community Health Assessment Team is looking for residents like you to provide feedback related to the current health and wellness status of Fredericksburg.  The survey is short, but the impact is great!  Take a few moments to complete this survey and share with friends here - Community Themes and Strengths Survey

National Public Health Week 2017

In celebration of one of this year's National Public Health Week themes, "Creating a Culture of Prevention", Rappahannock MRC volunteers are encouraged to use the comment option on this post to share healthy recipes they use at home.  These recipes could include lean protein options, plant based meals, low sodium ingredients, foods high in vitamins and nutrients, and freshly prepared foods that you think taste delicious!  Hopefully by the end of the week, we will all have some new recipes to try!

New In 2017

New Year, New Opportunities!

As with last year, our events and activities calendar will be updated regularly and posted on the Events page for all RMRC members to view at their convenience.  We will continue to schedule monthly competency meetings, as these sessions proved effective in increasing volunteer involvement and enable us to see each other regularly.

The training tab has been updated to include the volunteer vaccinator module for clinicians interested in provided flu shots at MRC events.  If you are taking any of the training courses required to advance to a new volunteer level, please be sure to send your completion certificates to RappahannockMRC@vdh.virginia.gov

Happy New Year to all of our wonderful volunteers!  Thank you for your continued service and dedication to the Rappahannock MRC and the community we serve!
